We believe a client’s business situation is the key driver, which directly impacts how we view technology, and ultimately what we do with technology.
This includes but is not limited to, growth expectations, competitive position, role of the business departments, staffing levels, process/workflow improvement opportunities combined with an understanding of the private equity firm exit strategy intentions.
Assess the Technology Situation, SECOND
Technology operational and infrastructure recommendations are based upon review of three areas:
1. Application Portfolio: Internal Applications, including off the shelf and proprietary applications. Includes core operations, finance & accounting, marketing & sales
2. IT Organization: structure, skills, resources, staffing levels, policies, practice, procedures, governance.
3. Technology Architecture: The underlying infrastructure that support application portfolio including hardware, operating systems software, databases, networks, the phone systems, video conferencing, telecommunication systems, e-mail, anti-virus, and UPS.
